Everyone ages 16 and up are welcome to unlock their creativity in the world of 3D design with our beginner-friendly class using TinkerCAD! This course is perfect for individuals who are curious about turning their imaginative ideas into tangible, three-dimensional objects. No prior design experience is required – we'll guide you through the exciting process step by step.

Course Highlights:

1. Introduction to TinkerCAD: Familiarize yourself with the user-friendly TinkerCAD platform, designed for beginners to easily grasp the fundamentals of 3D design. 
2. Navigating the Interface: Learn the essential tools and functions within TinkerCAD, from basic shapes to more complex design elements. 
3. Building Your First Design: Dive into hands-on exercises that gradually build your confidence in creating 3D models. Practice by designing everyday objects, geometric shapes, and personalized creations. 
4. Advanced Techniques: Explore advanced features of TinkerCAD to enhance your designs. Learn how to combine shapes, use text, and incorporate pre-designed elements into your projects. 
5. Optimizing for 3D Printing: Understand the principles of 3D printing and how to optimize your designs for successful printing. Explore considerations such as size, orientation, and support structures. 
6. Uploading and Printing Your Design: Experience the excitement of seeing your creations come to life! Each participant will have the opportunity to upload their final design to be 3D-printed and receive a physical copy of their masterpiece. 
7. Q&A and Troubleshooting: Engage in a supportive learning environment with opportunities for questions and troubleshooting. Our experienced instructors are here to help you overcome any challenges. 

Materials Needed:

• Participants are required to bring their laptops or tablets for hands-on design activities. A mouse is recommended for ease of navigation in TinkerCAD.
• (Optional) A notebook and pen for taking notes.

Outcome: After this class, you'll not only have a solid understanding of 3D design principles using TinkerCAD but also a physical 3D print of your own creation to showcase your newfound skills. (Printed objects are limited to 50 grams of material and will be available for pick up at a later date. Prints requiring more than 50 grams of material will be billed separately at $1.00 per 10 grams.)
